Is Superpower worth $349?
Superpower is worth considering if you want broad testing, a follow-up draw and results organized in one app. It is harder to justify if you only need a few specific tests or will not use the included retest.

I've evaluated Superpower's published panel, app and pricing, and personally tested Function and Empirical. This is a purchasing comparison: what the subscription adds, how its cost compares, and which trade-offs would change my choice.
When I would consider Superpower
- You want a baseline and a retest. The second draw makes more sense when you plan to review changes over time.
- You value the app and care-team messaging. Keeping results, recommendations and follow-up questions together may be useful beyond the lab panel itself.
- The included markers fit your goals. Compare the actual panel before buying; a headline count does not tell you whether a specific test is included.
When I would choose something else
If you only want ApoB, a lipid panel, or another small set of markers, compare individual test prices. A broad annual membership may cost more than the testing you intend to use.
If your main need is diagnosis, treatment, or recurring medical appointments, compare the care arrangement itself. A reviewed result or message channel does not establish that scheduled visits, prescriptions or ongoing treatment are included.

At regular prices, Function costs $16 more annually. That small gap makes panel contents, retest coverage and the results experience more useful deciding factors than the headline price alone. Promotions can change the first-year comparison; the table separates that from renewal.

Is a bigger biomarker count better value?
Not by itself. Superpower's 150+ annual lab-test count spans baseline testing and a retest. Our distinct-marker count counts each listed marker once. Neither tells you how useful a test is for your circumstances.
I would first check whether the panel includes the tests I care about, then compare the testing schedule, total cost and help available after results arrive.
What should I check before joining?
