Prenuvo review: MRI cost, blood tests, and what's included

Sources checked · U.S. services

Prenuvo's U.S. memberships combine preventive MRI and blood testing, starting at $1,199 for Core, $2,499 for Comprehensive, and $3,999 for Executive. Prenuvo plans.

We reviewed Prenuvo's current package descriptions, lab lists, scan specifications, follow-up policies, and research. This is a review of the published service, not a first-hand account of taking the scan. Prices and inclusions below refer to the U.S. offering checked September 28, 2026.

We'll cover the membership differences, which biomarkers are included, what the MRI can miss, and what happens after an abnormal result.

Comprehensive$2,499Whole BodyComprehensiveComprehensive

Standalone Focused/Whole Body scans cost $1,199/$2,499 without labs. Memberships include reviews, repeated after six-month labs where included. Labs require an eligible U.S. clinic. Package comparison.

Executive's footnote lists NYC at $4,999, heart-scan clinics at $4,499, others at $3,999. Its FAQ contradicts NYC pricing. Confirm your quote. Pricing discrepancy.

Membership cancellation stops renewal. The published refund window is three days after purchase, before any services; otherwise the current term isn't refunded. HSA/FSA eligibility depends on your plan, and insurance reimbursement isn't assured. Billing FAQ.

What does the Prenuvo MRI include?

Focused covers head to mid-thigh, excluding arms, spine assessment, and aneurysm assessment. Whole Body includes spine assessment but excludes arms and feet. Scan coverage.

Prenuvo's provider materials say a board-certified radiologist interprets each scan and produces a structured report with suggested next steps. The MRI provides information about anatomy: it can show an unexpected mass or structural change that warrants further investigation. A radiology finding isn't automatically a confirmed diagnosis. Clinical service.

Screening scans use neither ionizing radiation nor injected contrast. Prenuvo screens adults 18 and older; discuss implants and other MRI eligibility questions with the clinic before booking. Scan FAQ.

Which blood tests does Prenuvo include?

The published panel list is more useful than a headline biomarker count:

Which blood tests does Prenuvo include?
PanelNamed tests and groups
CoreComplete blood count (CBC), comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP), PSA for males
ComprehensiveCore tests plus basic lipids, TSH, HbA1c
ExecutiveCore/Comprehensive plus thyroid panel with TPO antibodies, advanced lipids/inflammation, lipase, uric acid, tTG-IgA, insulin-resistance panel, urinalysis, ANA/reflex testing, urine albumin/creatinine, iron studies, B12, folate, vitamin D, magnesium, sex-specific hormones

Prenuvo explicitly includes its CardioMetabolic panel in Executive: ApoB, Lp(a), insulin, C-peptide, and an insulin-resistance score. These aren't listed in Comprehensive. Executive's female hormone list names FSH/LH, estradiol, progesterone, AMH, and total testosterone; the male description is less specific. Ask for the actual requisition if individual hormones matter. Prenuvo blood panels.

Executive's six-month retest is the Comprehensive panel, not another Executive panel. Don't assume every initial marker gets repeated. Retest inclusions.

Prenuvo advertises 90+ Executive biomarkers, but publishes groups rather than a complete analyte-level manifest. Counts aren't directly comparable across providers. Allergy, heavy-metal, cognitive, nutrient, and hormone add-ons are also listed; their availability doesn't make every add-on part of every membership. Panel details.

For a biomarker-first purchase, I'd compare the specific tests I want with our blood-test service comparison. Paying for MRI primarily to obtain a lab panel deserves a separate cost comparison.

What do Prenuvo's brain, body composition, and heart assessments add?

Brain: measured volumes and a separate report

The Advanced Brain Health Scan adds high-resolution imaging and NeuroQuant analysis. Its report quantifies brain regions, compares measurements with reference populations, and shows annotated images. Prenuvo describes assessment of structures associated with memory, brain vessels, masses, and ventricular size. This is more specific than simply including the head in an MRI. Brain assessment.

My interpretation: a volume percentile can provide context for a clinician, but shouldn't be read as a standalone dementia diagnosis or a prediction of when symptoms will occur. Prenuvo itself describes these findings as supporting further clinical evaluation.

Body composition: fat and lower-body muscle, with important exclusions

The Body Composition Analysis quantifies visceral fat, subcutaneous fat, liver fat, lower-body muscle volume and symmetry, and selected abdominal organ volumes. You receive the report after the results-review appointment. Body composition details.

It doesn't calculate total body-fat percentage and doesn't measure upper-body muscle volumes or bone density. Someone comparing it with a DEXA scan should decide which measurements they actually want. “Body composition” doesn't mean the same output from every device. Prenuvo also says implants, movement, or other quality problems can prevent this report from being produced. Measurements and limitations.

Heart: muscle function, not coronary plaque

The Advanced Heart Health Scan uses MyoStrain to assess how the heart muscle contracts. Results include strain measurements, MyoHealth scores, and estimated ejection fraction. Prenuvo explicitly says it doesn't diagnose heart disease or assess coronary artery disease. It doesn't show plaque or blocked coronary arteries. Heart assessment.

Availability and timing deserve confirmation. The heart page says an Executive scan incorporating it takes about 100 minutes in the scanner. It also conflicts with itself about whether the heart assessment can be booked separately. Don't assume the advertised $799 heart option is available independently at your clinic. Heart FAQ, enhancement prices.

What happens after a Prenuvo scan?

Prenuvo lists a 20-minute phone review for standard scans/Core/Comprehensive and a 40-minute video review for Executive. Patients receive a report and shareable images. Its FAQ describes recommendations for outside follow-up rather than routine direct referrals or ordering additional tests. Results and follow-up.

Ask who will arrange and pay for any recommended diagnostic imaging, specialist visit, or biopsy. An included results review doesn't establish that those downstream services are covered.

Published turnaround estimates vary: one FAQ says five business days; another says up to ten for U.S. scans and three to four weeks when bloodwork is included. Ask for your package's expected date. Reporting timelines.

What do Prenuvo results look like?

Prenuvo's app examples show the scan moving through radiology review before the report is finalized. The results screen groups findings by significance and provides access to MRI images.

What can Prenuvo miss?

Prenuvo's own limitations say screening MRI can miss small cancers and lesions in mucosal linings. It isn't a replacement for mammography or other dedicated breast imaging, cervical screening, colonoscopy, or indicated lung screening. The protocol also has limits for lung micronodules, skin disease, and detailed joint assessment. Prenuvo's screening limitations.

The practical consequence is that a reassuring report doesn't resolve every symptom or complete every recommended screening. Bring a specific medical concern to the clinician who can select the appropriate diagnostic test.

Is a Prenuvo scan worth it?

The evidence supports a more cautious conclusion than “finding something early always helps.” The American College of Radiology's published statement finds insufficient evidence to recommend whole-body MRI screening for people without symptoms, risk factors, or relevant family history. It highlights uncertain benefit and the possibility of unnecessary investigations and expense. ACR statement.

Prenuvo's 2026 conference abstract reviewed 81,786 screening patients. It reported moderate-concern findings in 4.5% and urgent findings in 0.3%; suspicious cancer findings weren't equivalent to confirmed cancers. This was a retrospective analysis by Prenuvo-affiliated authors, not a trial showing that screening extends life. The authors identify longitudinal outcomes as future work. Prenuvo research abstract.

I'd judge the purchase by the medical question it might answer, the exact package, and the cost of following up an uncertain finding. For someone already committed to MRI screening, the differences between Core, Comprehensive, and Executive are substantial enough to review line by line before paying.

Where is Prenuvo available?

Prenuvo lists clinics across major U.S. markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, and the Washington, DC area. Its directory also includes mobile, research, and international locations, so a map pin doesn't establish that every package is offered there. Use the clinic-specific booking details.
